My Skin Care Routine

Just like everything else, my skin has been out of wack lately. I’ve been working super hard to get that glow back tho! I have always been pretty lucky as I never experienced bad acne, or oily prone skin or even dry skin. As of now my sin care routine contains a few (a lot if you ask my boyfriend) key items from different lines. For this inquiring I am going to share my routine with you right here! All items are linked in the end. And, I have included two items for each. One for when we wanna splurge a little, the other for when we wanna be on a budget.

So to start off I use the brand Mad Hippie’s jelly facial cleanser. This is absolutely the best thing to happen to me. Their brand is vegan friendly, and so light. I do at least 2 washes, just because I wear makeup and wanna make sure I get everything off. When I run out of cleanser my go to is Cetaphil, their stuff is so gentle and works for all skin types.

I then go in with toner. My go to is Fenty Skin Fat Water Pore Refining Toner Serum. Can we just shout out Rihanna for always, always, always being above average in all she does? I apply a few drops in my hand and pat my face. I prefer to pat than rub just because this serum is so light, I dont want it to end up more on my hands than my face. A great affordable version would be e.l.f. Pure Skin Toner.

Toner, in a nutshell, toners are usually designed to restore balance and hydration to your skin after cleansing, but they can also help minimize the appearance of pores, temporarily tighten skin, and naturally remove oil and dirt.

Next we have serum. Idk about you guys but the little bottles of serum make me feel like I am living a fancy lifestyle. Now for this I only apply serums in the morning. Not at night time. And this is because I get hot in my sleep and wake up with an extra, extra oily face. But back to the serums, my go to’s are Mad Hippie’s Vitamin C Serum or e.l.f. Antioxidant Booster Drops. Both contain Vitamin c which I need to brighten my skin and maintain that natural glow. You can use either or.

Vitamin C can help fade pigmentation and smooth the skin’s surface to reduce dullness. This gives skin a youthful glow.

After the serum, I use a facial oil. Again I will use Mad Hippie Antioxidant Facial Oil, and when I am budgeting e.l.f Nourishing Facial Oil. I usually forget to mist so these oils come in handy when I am on the go, rushing to do whatever. You can use either or. This is another step I use only in the morning.

Antioxidant facial oil helps reduce the appearance of fatigue for energized, radiant skin.

I then apply Target’s very own Up & Up brand facial moisturizer with spf. Guys this stuff smells so good!!!!!!!!!!! And leaves your skin looking dewy fresh. It also is great under makeup. I use it as a primer especially during the summer heat waves. At night I use Mad Hippie’s Triple C night cream. This stuff is so hydrating you can either end here or go on to the next step. My face literally feels soft and dewy the next morning.

Moisturizer boosts hydration in your skin, prevents flaking and dullness, and creates a protective layer of moisture for your skin.

To end it all I mist with Mario Badescu facial spray. What I love about this is that it can be used on the skin and hair. I go crazy literally spraying all over. And this is applied both in morning and at night.

A face mist is a super-efficient way to give skin what it’s craving – hydration, antioxidants, and glow.
