Binge Snacking…. but make it healthy

okay, so the girls are in the gym. the girls are working out. but the girls are still eating poorly!!!!

If you are anything like me, then the eating habits may not be the best! I have curated a list of healthy alternatives for anyone who loves to snack, but also wants to get in shape and eat guilty free.

For my chocolate lovers: Quest Peanut Butter cups! Get you some!! Every now and then I will crave Reeses Pieces Buttercups, but now I can still have that creamy chocolate peanut butter flavor but with less than 1 gram of sugar. These cups are packed with protein! 11 grams to be exact, and 1gram of net carbs. They taste good, not as sweet but they do the job.

For my chip lovers: I absolutely love cheese doodles. I can eat a bag in one sitting, and then eat another. Hippeas vegan White Cheddar puffs have become my go to. They are packed with flavor, but thats not the best part. They are vegan, nut free, soy free, gluten free, contain 4 grams of protein and 3 grams of fiber. They are honestly so good, you would think they were made right next to the cheese doodle lab. Because how can something so healthy be so darn yummy?!

For my candy lovers: Smart sweets make a smart choice. They come in sour buddies, peach rings, sour melon bites, sweet fish, and more. I absolutely love stacking up on these at my target runs. I will say they are a bit pricey, so I understand if you dont want to pay for it. But nutrition wise, it is worth every penny. I get the best of both worlds. Sour or sweet candy, less than 100 calories, and no more than 3 grams of sugar. These are also plant based, rich in fiber and gluten free.

For my ice cream lovers: Halo Top tops alllllllll other ice creams. These pints in total are no more than 400 calories. So when I say eat guilty free, I mean guilty free. All flavors are high in protein and low in sugar. Halo Top literally has something for everyone. My favorite flavor is chocolate chip cookie dough. For anyone who doesn’t do dairy, they have dairy free, high protein ice cream. When I said something for everyone, I meant it.

For my soda lovers: If you haven’t heard of poppi, well get acquainted! I am not a big soda drinker, but when I am craving a little fizz Poppi is my go to. Not only is this soda delicious, but it improves gut health and immunity, but also improves complexion, lowers cholesterol, promotes weight loss, stabilizes blood sugar, and improves energy. The flavors are great too, they come in Cherry Limeade, ginger lime, orange, root beer, doc pop, classic cola and more. I have yet to taste a flavor I didn’t like. I also wanna mention that there s no more than 5grams of sugar, and each drink contains ACV (apple cider vinegar) which contains prebiotics that feed the natural probiotics in your digestive system.

For my energy drink lovers: Clean energy is the vibe this year. We all need a little boost, and that is okay. Some days I literally just cant. However AHA caffeine sparkling water has been my go to. It’s seltzer (which I love), but the caffeine comes from either black tea or green tea. This is a really good tasting seltzer water, and you dont taste any where additives or sugar or anything of the sort.

Last but not least…. I just wanted to throw this in for my busy bodies. Soylent meal drink shakes have been a staple in my life. When on the run, too lazy, or just not up to cooking I grab one of these. They come in many flavors. I prefer coffee flavors, especially on a morning when I am heading out to run errands or go to the gym and dont have time to eat a full meal. Soylent products are vegan-friendly, gluten free, and have few to no added sugars. It’s a perfect healthy option for those on the go. However, it’s important to note that Soylent contains soy protein isolate, so these drinks are not safe for people with a soy allergy.
