Embracing My Saturn Return: A Journey of Self-Discovery and Growth

Hey there, lovely readers! Today, I want to share with you a transformative period in my life called the Saturn Return. This powerful astrological phenomenon, which occurs roughly every 28-29 years, has had a profound impact on my journey as a Virgo. It all began when I stumbled upon an enlightening episode of my favorite podcast, Balanced Black Girl, where the hosts delved into the intriguing concept of the Saturn Return and shared their own experiences.

As a born Virgo, meticulous and detail-oriented, I always felt like I had my life under control. However, before I discovered my Saturn Return, everything seemed to be falling apart. I couldn’t understand why my life was in disarray—I was not properly grieving, quick to anger, overwhelmed, and constantly anxious. Physically, I experienced chest pain, insomnia, fatigue, and struggled to find a job. It felt like I had hit a plateau, and I was left feeling lost and overwhelmed.

So, what exactly is a Saturn Return? It’s a significant astrological transit that occurs when Saturn returns to the same position in the sky as it was at the time of our birth. This celestial event often coincides with a quarter life crisis, typically hitting individuals around the age of 28 or 29. The Saturn Return serves as a cosmic wake-up call, urging us to reassess our lives, beliefs, and values.

In my case, I was born on September 22, 1994. Through some simple calculations, I discovered that my Saturn Return was taking place from May 2023 to February 2024. Knowing this allowed me to gain a better understanding of the challenges and opportunities that lay ahead.

While the Saturn Return may be a time of upheaval and uncertainty, it offers incredible potential for growth and self-discovery. For me, this transformative period has pushed me to learn to control what I can and let go of what I cannot. As a Virgo and a stay-at-home girlfriend, embracing a softer lifestyle has been a challenge, especially when societal pressures can make you feel less than. However, I’ve come to appreciate and love my newfound role as a house”wife”. It has allowed me to prioritize self-care, explore my creative passions, engage in therapy, and focus on my physical well-being through regular workouts.

While the quarter life crisis can be overwhelming, the Saturn Return also presents us with a unique opportunity to gain a fresh perspective on life and open doors to new opportunities. This period has taught me the importance of surrendering control and allowing my partner to take care of me financially, physically, and emotionally. In doing so, our relationship has flourished, dispelling the fear that we were turning toxic. We are now actively working together to foster a healthy and loving partnership.

As I navigate my Saturn Return, I am grateful for the challenges and growth it has brought into my life. It has allowed me to embrace change, prioritize self-care, and find joy in the things that truly matter. If you find yourself in the midst of your own Saturn Return, remember that this is an opportunity for self-reflection and personal growth. Embrace the journey, let go of what no longer serves you, and welcome the new perspectives and opportunities that await you on the other side.

Remember, dear readers, the Saturn Return may be tough, but it paves the way for a brighter and more fulfilling future. Embrace the transformation, trust the process, and welcome the new chapter of your life with open arms. You’ve got this!
