Reclaiming My Space Online: Why I’m Reviving My Blog

It’s been a while since I’ve sat down to write here. Somewhere between chasing goals, earning certifications, starting grad school, and growing into a new version of myself, I stopped showing up in this space. Not because I didn’t have anything to say — but because I needed time to live the things I wanted to write about.

This past year has been a season of becoming — physically, mentally, and emotionally. I’ve stepped deeper into who I am: a Pilates instructor, a personal trainer, and a marriage and family therapist in training. Each of these roles has stretched me in different ways, and together they’ve reshaped how I see wellness, healing, and purpose.

For a long time, I saw my blog as a space to share tips and updates — fitness routines, healthy habits, maybe a sprinkle of lifestyle inspiration. But as I’ve grown, I’ve realized I don’t just want to share what I’m doing. I want to share what I’m learning — about myself, about people, about the quiet intersections between mind, body, and meaning.

Why I Paused — and Why I’m Returning

I paused this blog because I was overwhelmed by the noise — the pressure to post for engagement, the comparison that came with scrolling, and the constant feeling that my words had to be perfectly packaged. I wanted authenticity, but I was scared of being too real.

Now, I’m done with that.

Grad school, in particular, has humbled me in the best ways. Training to become a therapist means you can’t hide from yourself. You sit with people’s stories while confronting your own. You learn to hold space, to listen deeply, and to realize that healing isn’t about fixing — it’s about understanding.

That lesson has carried over into every part of my life — my relationships, my workouts, and even how I show up online. So, I’m reclaiming this blog as a space for reflection, honesty, and alignment. I’m not here to chase algorithms; I’m here to reconnect.

⚖️ Balancing Passion and Purpose

In the past, I chased productivity. I used to think passion was about doing more — more clients, more workouts, more achievements. But lately, I’ve learned that passion without purpose burns out fast.

Now, I’m more intentional. I move my body not to prove something, but to connect with it. I write not to perform, but to process. I study not to be perfect, but to understand how humans heal and love.

That balance — between passion and purpose — is what I want to bring into every post.

I want this blog to feel like a grounding space. A place where we talk about wellness that’s not just physical, but emotional. Where Pilates meets self-discovery. Where we can explore how movement, therapy, and mindfulness all overlap in the beautiful mess of being human.

My New Vision: Mind, Body, and Meaning

Moving forward, this blog will be a reflection of where I am and what I’m learning — as a trainer, therapist-in-training, and millennial woman trying to live intentionally.

You can expect posts about:

  • Mind: Lessons from therapy school — love, boundaries, and emotional growth.
  • Body: Reflections on Pilates, running, and training as forms of healing.
  • Meaning: Lifestyle topics — balance, identity, and finding peace in the process.

This isn’t a highlight reel. It’s a space for honest reflections, soft revelations, and small wins. Because healing and growth aren’t linear — they’re layered, cyclical, and deeply human.

🕊️ Closing Thoughts

I’m not the same person I was when I first started this blog — and I’m proud of that. My voice has matured, my purpose has deepened, and my relationship with wellness has evolved into something more authentic and holistic.

So here’s to showing up again — this time, grounded, grateful, and unfiltered.

🪞 Reflection Prompt:
